• Oliver Art Center director to speak at Benzonia Academy Lecture (recordpatriot.com) — Residents can catch the next Benzonia Academy Lecture on Oct. 8 at Mills Community House or via Zoom, featuring Oliver Art Center director Tamara Hoffbauer. She'll highlight the center's 78-year role in Benzie County's arts scene and share future plans, with admission by donation. 
• Life Chain to be held in Benzonia Oct. 4 (recordpatriot.com) — A Benzie Area Life Chain prayer gathering is planned in Benzonia on Oct. 4 from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. along U.S. 31, stretching from the town's traffic light south to Love Road. Participants can join for any portion, with signs available at several local businesses.
