"We are outraged by the recent distribution of antisemitic flyers to homes in Berkley—yet another targeted act meant to propagate hate and intimidate Jewish residents. This is a clear hate crime against members of our community intended to make us feel unwelcome in our neighborhoods and homes," the Jewish Federation of Detroit said in a statement.

The Oakland County Prosecutor's Office said they are closely working with local police.

"Regardless of the legal implications, I feel compelled to speak out against these hateful lies. It was not long ago that such disgusting rhetoric was relegated to the darkest fringes of society," Oakland County Prosecutor Karen McDonald said. "Anti-religious rhetoric, especially against our Jewish community, has become normalized by political interests seeking to divide us as Americans. An attack on any one faith is an attack on all of us and our right to worship as we see fit."
