Arrest Steals Students' Post-Prom Fun

While students were dancing the night away, their carriage was impounded and its driver was hauled off to jail.

Some metro Detroit high school seniors’ prom night celebration was cut short Thursday. While they were dancing inside the Andiamo Banquet Center in Warren, their limousine party bus was impounded and the driver was arrested,

Instead of continuing the prom-night revelry in the limo, the Berkley High School seniors had to ask their parents to pick them up, WWJ/CBS Detroit reports.

Warren police said the limo driver was arrested on an outstanding warrant after the students had been dropped off at the prom. Police did not comment on the reason for the warrant, but WWJ cited sources who said he was wanted on a probation violation for a felony assault charge.
