Berkley Wrestlers' Seasons End at Regionals
Sophomore, freshman bowed out during the weekend competition.
Two of ’s young wrestlers advanced to regionals before their seasons came to an end Saturday.
Freshman Aaron Parr-Besemer, who wrestles at 112 pounds, won by forfeit against Hamtramck’s Ahmed Fadhel in the first round. Then he lost to Ali Ayache of Dearborn Heights Crestwood, 12-6.
Parr-Besemer placed fourth at districts and finished the season at 35-11.

Sophomore Austin Brantley (140, 17-16) was pinned by Trenton’s Brandon Charping in the first round of regionals. Brantley was also fourth at districts.
