Cheers for Winter Beers at Polar Beer Club Event

The Royal Oak Farmer’s Market will host Royal Oak Beer Fest “Polar Beer Club” on Saturday, Jan. 17.

Organizers promise the Polar Beer Club will be a blues-banishing experience in taste and sound, including hot live music and Michigan food samplings to complement more than 125 cool brews.

Presented by Westborn Market, Royal Oak Beer Fest is the promotion of craft beers and the brewers who create them. Brew from more than 60 breweries will be represented, including:

Great Lakes Brewing Co., Perrin Brewing Co., Motor City Brewing Works, Magic Hat Brewing Co., and Evil Twin Brewing.

The event is the perfect opportunity for beer aficionados to discover and taste new brews and special “limited release” beers and ales. There will also be a great selection of hard ciders, wine and spirits for sampling.

The event runs from 7:30-11:30 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 17, with a limited-quantity VIP session beginning at 6:30 p.m. General Session tickets are $45 and include tasting cup and15 3-ounce serving tabs. Additional servings and food will be available for purchase. “Designated Driver” tickets are available for $15 and must accompany a paid attendee.

The limited-quantity VIP session for $65 includes entry into event at 6:30pm(one hour before general admission), 20 3-ounce serving tabs and first access to the vast selection of brews.

Attendees will be entertained by hot live music by Kaleido and the Cosmic Groove Band in the event’s outdoor heated tent, and are welcome to participate in a variety of games, including Hammer-Schlagen, Cornhole, and Adult-Size Jenga.

Whether you’re a fan of pale ales or pilsners, dark lagers or stouts, there will be a brew for every palate at Royal Oak Beer Fest “Polar Bear Club”. Whether a serious beer connoisseur or a weekend warrior – lager lovers will not want to miss this event!
