SoulAviv, a new and eclectic Jewish music ensemble, will perform at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 25 at Cabaret Shalom at Congregation Beth Shalom in Oak Park. The casual, cabaret evening will be held at the synagogue and will be followed by a dessert reception featuring gourmet coffees and teas.
SoulAviv was formed in 2007, and was decribed by the Los Angles Examiner as “one of the most exciting new vocal groups in Jewish music.” The four-person group of Liat Wasserman, Jamie Green, Roxanne Morganstern and Rob Raede is equally at ease singing in English, Hebrew and Yiddish.

Their music is a mix of folk, Motown, gospel, Memphis soul and the 1960s- and 1970s- style harmony. SoulAviv blends Jewish heritage, spirituality and jubilant celebration with a pinch of California sunshine for a musical experience that is truly a delight.
