
The Charles H. Wright Museum of African American History presents the 12th Annual Martin Luther King Jr. Commemorative Breakfast. The breakfast sets the stage for a full day of activities honoring King and his legacy at The Wright Museum, on its most popular day of the year.
The day's activities include: activities, screenings, workshops and performances on its busiest day of the year! The day's schedule includes:
- 11 a.m. - 3 p.m.: Freedom On My Mind children's workshops
- Noon: World premiere of The Voices of the Civil War video series
- 12:30 p.m. & 5 p.m.: A King Among Us video tribute to Dr. King and discussion
- 1-6 pm: Free health screenings sponsored by the African American Physicians Group
- 1:30 p.m. & 3 p.m.: Music of the Movement concert featuring Armond with Sandra Feva Dance
- 2 p.m.: This Little Light of Mine children's storytelling
ALL DAY: Meet characters of the Civil Rights Movement, see the Table of Brotherhood and a scale model of the Washington, DC, Martin Luther King Jr. National Memorial.
