Library Offers Mid-Winter Break Activities

The Huntington Woods library is hosting a full week of events to keep little ones busy during winter break. The activities are sponsored by the Friends of the Huntington Woods Library.

The linuep includes:

  • Hair-Tastic Craft Day on Feb. 20: Make super cool hair accessories, such as headbands, barrettes and clips. Snacks included.
  • Disney Princess Tea Party on Feb. 21: Come dressed as your favorite Disney Princess and enjoy a tea party. Make a craft, take a memorable photo, play games and enjoy tea and treats.
  • Learn Greek Dance on Feb. 22: Professional Greek dance instructor Matina Legakis will be on hand to teach some moves. Legakis will discuss Greek culture, Greek instruments and display authentic Greek costumes. Greek cookies will be provided.
  • Thomas the Tank Engine Party on Feb. 23: Read a story, have some snacks and play some Thomas-themed games to earn prizes!
  • Detroit Science Center: How Does Your Garden Grow on Feb. 25: Join a fun classroom workshop all about plants. Kids will make a take-home terrarium and learn how plants grow, their life cycle and more science fun!
