Fedex Volunteers Support Mobile Food Pantry In Detroit During Hunger Action Month
10th Anniversary of FedEx Cares Week celebrates "Delivering Hope"

FedEx team members from Detroit volunteered to assist Gleaners Community Food Bank and Forgotten Harvest in distributing approximately 14,000 pounds of food to community members in need during a one-day mobile food pantry event. The event coincided with Hunger Action Month, which will help raise awareness for the more than 4 million households in Michigan that live at the risk of hunger.
FedEx volunteers arranged tables and sorted food similar to the organization of a farmers’ market. The volunteers handed out dry goods, produce and prepared food to hundreds of local community members.
This week, more than 10,000 FedEx team members from around the world will volunteer and participate in local community service activities as part of the tenth annual FedEx Cares Week.
