Hospital Quarantines Unconscious Waterford Twp. Woman

Doctors still aren't sure why Stephanie Lynn Yeider hasn't regained consciousness yet after she was found by police July 7 on a county road.

The Waterford Township woman found mysteriously unconscious on an Oakland County road has been quarantine by the hospital she’s staying at, according to a Detroit Free Press report.

Stephanie Lynn Yeider, 38, of Waterford Township, was found around 6 p.m. July 7, near the intersection of Andersonville Road and Curtis Lane in Independence Township. She didn’t have an ID on her, and her fingerprints weren’t in the national fingerprint system. She was finally identified after a friend contacted the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office.

Since then, Yeider has been in intensive care at McLaren Hospital-Oakland while doctors try to determine what is wrong with her. Complications from drugs, alcohol and other injuries have already been ruled out.

No details were given in the report about why doctors felt the need to quarantine Yeider.
