• Man dies after being pinned under construction truck in Birmingham (clickondetroit.com) — A 57-year-old Dearborn Heights man died Friday after becoming trapped beneath a construction truck on Redding Road near Woodward and Quarton in Birmingham. Police say he was checking a malfunctioning lift axle when the system re-engaged, and the department has extended condolences to his family while investigating the circumstances.
• Mercy 4-peats, Marian and Rochester relays thrive at Oakland County Girls Swim Championship (theoaklandpress.com) — Birmingham Seaholm and Birmingham Groves both cracked the top five at the Oakland County Girls Swim Championship, finishing fourth and fifth behind powerhouse Farmington Hills Mercy. Local swimmers contributed key relay and diving points, giving Birmingham families an early look at how their teams stack up heading into the state meet push.
