Donna's full Obituary:
Donna Lynn Hoyem, 54 of Gaylord, MI passed away at home on July 11, 2012. Services will be held Sunday July 22 at Mt. Hope Church at 2:00 pm followed by a reception at 521 E. Main Street, in Gaylord to celebrate her life.
Born Aug. 31, 1957 in Detroit, MI to Genevieve (Warren) and Robert L Jacobites, Donna grew up in Birmingham, MI and graduated from Seaholm High School in 1975. She went on to a very successful and happy career in marketing and advertising, working in Manhattan for the New Yorker, Newsweek, Time and Martha Stewart. Returning to Michigan after the birth of her beloved daughter Annie, she rekindled a relationship with her first junior high school boyfriend, Gordon Hoyem. They married July 5, 2003 in Bootjack, MI.
Donna was a vivacious and happy person who made many new friends in Gaylord while maintaining many friendships with people from high school, the advertising community and church. She loved Jesus and is resting in peace after experiencing a variety of challenging health complications in the last couple years.
Donna is survived by her husband Gordon Hoyem II; daughter Ann E. Jacobites; stepson Gordon Hoyem III; brother Donald (Bitsy) Jacobites; sisters Diane (Al) Mannix; Denise (Frank) Arena; Darlene (Tim, deceased) Bensing and her nieces and nephew.
