AT&T Expands 4G LTE Coverage to More Birmingham Customers
Faster speeds will be noticed along Woodward Avenue, east of Pierce Street.

As part of its continuing network investment and ongoing 4G LTE rollout, AT&T has upgraded a mobile Internet cell site in Birmingham to expand AT&T 4G LTE coverage for area residents and businesses.
“AT&T’s investment in stronger signals and faster speeds makes it possible for local businesses to compete and win in today’s economy and tomorrow’s, too,” said state Sen. Marty Knollenberg (R-Troy). “Their work bringing this kind of innovation to Oakland County is a big asset, in the effort to create jobs and rebuild our local economies.”
The network enhancement adds new layers of frequency, also known as “carriers” to Birmingham. Faster speeds will be noticed along Woodward Avenue, east of Pierce Street.

AT&T launched its ultra-fast 4G LTE network in Detroit in September 2012. The new cell sites are one part of AT&T’s ongoing efforts to expand 4G LTE coverage and to drive investment and innovation to deliver the nation’s best, most advanced mobile Internet experience for customers.
