The day will include hayrides (weather permitting), corn shelling, live music and pumpkin carving demonstrations. Children are encouraged to wear their Halloween costumes and collect special treats from the farmers.
The community is invited to stop by and enjoy the delicious smells and samples at the market, plus visit the Kids Zone, hosted by Birmingham Youth Assistance, for a pumpkin decorating craft. Entertainment and giveaways will be sponsored by Children’s Hospital of Michigan from 9 a.m. - noon, according to a press release.
“We’re sad to close out another wonderful season at the Birmingham Farmers Market, but we’ll have a lot of fun saying good-bye,” said market manager Lori Rondello. “We encourage the community to come on out and have a great time.”
