Birmingham Student Style Show To Benefit The Pink Fund
Two area moms will be recognized at the yearly showcase of Groves and Seaholm's fashion merchandise students.

Style students from will be strutting their stuff for a good cause this weekend, with a style show set to benefit The Pink Fund.
The will take place Saturday at the , featuring students from and 's fashion merchandising programs.
All proceeds, meanwhile, will go toward The Pink Fund, the Bloomfield Hills-based nonprofit that aids women with breast cancer. In addition, two area moms and recipents of Pink Fund aid will be recognized at the event in honor of Mother's Day.

"Our goal, aside from the educational and real world experience for the students, is to provide financial assistance to The Pink Fund," said Kristen Erickson, a fashion merchandising teacher. "We hope to raise enough money to make a sizeable donation to The Pink Fund so they can continue to support people in the community who are undergoing treatment for breast cancer."
During the event, students will host a student-produced runway fashion show. Models will be students while many of the clothes will be student designs.

In addition, a showcase of student artwork from both high schools will be displayed at the Art Center's galleries. A reception and silent aucition will preceed the runway show.
