Birmingham Students Take Home Scholastic Art and Writing Prizes
This year, 15 Birmingham students received recognition in the annual art and writing contest.
Fifteen Birmingham high school and middle school students have been recognized as award-winning artists in the 2012 Southeastern Michigan Region of the Scholastic Art Awards.
Sponsored by the national nonprofit Alliance for Young Artists & Writers, the Scholastic Art & Writing Competition receives more than 140,000 submissions annually from more than 77,000 students in grades 7–12. From those submissions, 1,000 winners are selected nationwide.
