Brother Rice Students Named National Merit Semifinalists

Four Brother Rice High School seniors have been named semifinalists in the 2016 National Merit Scholarship Program based on their scores on the 2014 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Test (PSAT/NMSQT).

Nathan Antwan, Evan Dennis, Hugh Flynn and Pranav Gopalakrishnan, are among the 16,000 semi-finalists named for their outstanding academic work. They placed in the top 1 percent of the 1.5 million juniors in more than 22,000 high schools who took the PSAT/NMSQT.

Antwan has also been named as a National Hispanic Scholar.

These four academically talented students have an opportunity to continue in the competition for some 7,400 National Merit Scholarships worth more than $32 million that will be offered next spring.
