Friends of the Birmingham Historical Museum describe the inventions and patents of Dr. Ebenezer Raynale, a Birmingham pioneer and state senator who lived from 1804-1881during the 1880s.
Dr. Raynale's home still stands in the Mill Pond neighborhood and his grave is in Greenwood Cemetery.
