'Furries' Get Lewd with G-Rated Tony the Tiger
Not gr-r-reat. Not gr-r-reat at all, Tony growls back after "furries" ask him to get down and very dirty.
BATTLE CREEK, MI – A not-so gr-r-reat thing happened last week to Tony the Tiger, the cartoon character that has been shilling Frosted Flakes for Kellogg’s since 1951.
The Battle Creek-based cereal maker had to play defense and ask Twitter followers to stop sending them anthropomorphic animal porn.

The Guardian reported the barrage of offensive tweets came from furries, people who dress up in fursuits — like, say, a Tony the Tiger costume, and roleplay as fictional anthropomorphic animal characters with human personalities and characteristics.
Of course, Tony the Tiger is G-rated. Tweets from the furries were not. They begged for sex, nude photos and some other encounters best left to adult imaginations, according to Gawker.

The furry tweeting frenzy, which has been going on for about a year, became too much for the person running the Kellogg’s brand account, and last week, all furries were blocked from the account, even those who have never tweeted, BuzzFeed said.
Kellogg spokeswoman Kris Charles, calling some the content “lewd in nature,” told the Battle Creek Enquirer that Kellogg’s “reserves the right to block individuals who post offensive content.”
Tony also put out a heartfelt plea to tweeters, asking them to clean up their act.
