Imminent Threatening weather

I don't like to complain (yes I do), but I keep getting ready for the 'big one' that most often doesn't appear. I wish no harm to anyone or their property but I am tired of 'preparing' for all the lightning, wind and rain that keeps getting reported on an urgent basis. If I were a big gambler, I'd get rich betting on their 'stormy' predictions. I rush to the grocers, buy food I'm not crazy about and usually end up eating only half and throwing the rest out. You've got to oil your weather machines, rewire them or just plain throw them out. PS. My neighbor just informed me it's the only job one doesn't seem to get fired from. You're all nice people but please, a little more accuracy?
