Moonbeams for Sweet Dreams - December nights at 8:00

It's the most wonderful event of the year! Bring your flashlight, family and friends, to Beaumont Hospital.

It's miserable being sick, especially for kids. William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak has come up with a wonderful way to boost their spirits. It's called Moonbeams for Sweet Dreams.

Every night in December, people gather on the sidewalk and lawn below the windows of the children's wing. They bring flashlights, lanterns, light sabres, cell phones, and handmade signs. At 8:00 a bell rings and everybody shines their lights. Sometimes there are fire trucks, police cars, and ambulances that also light up. It's quite a spectacular scene.

In the windows, little lights shine back. Those are the children staying in the hospital, getting ready to go to bed for the night, very grateful for the show of support and love.
