Tapper's Hosts 25th Annual Coat Drive

Tapper’s Diamonds & Fine Jewelry is helping metro-Detroiters stay warm this winter by hosting its 25th annual Coat Drive now through the end of November. Tapper’s and local Morgan Stanley locations, supported by Local 4 WDIV, now have collection bins for new and gently worn coats, hats, mittens, and blankets. Tapper’s is also accepting tax-deductible cash donations, which will be used to purchase brand-new coats. Donations will benefit Orchards Children's Services, Grace Centers of Hope, Baldwin Center, and other local charities.

“We are thrilled to have the support of Morgan Stanley for our 25th Annual Coat Drive,” says Steven Tapper, Custom Designer and Vice President of Tapper’s Diamonds & Fine Jewelry. “Together with the local community, we hope to donate more than 2,500 coats. We are encouraging everyone to find something in their closets to donate or to give $20 to supply a new coat and gloves to someone in need.”

Tapper’s will distribute the winter items – free of charge – directly to local organizations that support those in need around our community. It is estimated the Tapper’s coat drive has provided more than 48,000 coats to metro-Detroit area families throughout the years.
