TEAM Schostak Family Restaurants Raises More Than $61,490 for the Muscular Dystrophy Association

Livonia, Mich.-based TEAM Schostak Family Restaurants (TSFR), a family-owned restaurant group with an expansive portfolio of casual dining, quick-service and family dining restaurants throughout the state of Michigan, and its Applebee’s, Olga’s Kitchen, Del Taco and MOD Pizza restaurants raised $61,492, including a $25,000 donation from TSFR, benefiting the Muscular Dystrophy Association’s (MDA) 35th annual MDA Shamrock Program through a one-day statewide fundraising event. TSFR Director of Marketing Barb Pasciak made the announcement.
Throughout the day, in exchange for a $1 or $5 donation at any of TSFR’s owned and operated 65 Applebee’s, 25 Olga’s Kitchen, five Del Taco and eight MOD Pizza restaurants, guests received a coupon good for a free item from a select menu. All guest and TSFR donations will directly aid Michigan residents suffering from muscular dystrophy and related illnesses.
“The Muscular Dystrophy Association is a critical resource in helping to fight against some of the most debilitating disorders, and we are proud to be a long-time supporter of their inspiring work,” said Pasciak. “We are continuously overwhelmed by the generosity our communities, guests and team members and thank them for their donations, which will help MDA find cures for these debilitating diseases.”
The Muscular Dystrophy Association is the world’s leading nonprofit health agency dedicated to finding treatments and cures for muscular dystrophy, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) and other neuromuscular diseases. They do so by funding worldwide research, providing comprehensive health care services and support to MDA families nationwide and by rallying communities to fight back through advocacy, fundraising and local engagement.
TSFR also supports Make-A-Wish Michigan and JDRF throughout the year by hosting Dine to Donate events. The 2017 Make-A-Wish Michigan Dine to Donate event will be held on May 21 while the JDRF Dine to Donate event will be held on August 11.
