Trump Ex-Wife’s Huge Diamond Listed By Michigan Auction House
The 7.45-carat Harry Winston sparkler Donald Trump presented to Marla Maples could fetch $300,000 this time around.
Birmingham, MI — A 7.45-carat emerald cut diamond engagement ring worn by presumptive Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump’s former mistress and ex-wife Marla Maples will be auctioned later this month by a Birmingham auction house.
Joseph DuMouchelle, whose family has been conducting fine and estate jewelry auctions for more than 80 years, has included the ring in a June 29 auction.
It was designed by the legendary jeweler Harry Winston, who owned the Hope Diamond for a decade before donating it to the Smithsonian Institution in 1958, and who also traded the Portuguese Diamond to the Smithsonian in 1963.

It’s the second time DuMouchelle has sold the ring, which Trump presented to the actress and television personality in 1991, according to a news release.

Maples’ six-year marriage to the real estate mogul ended in 1999, and she listed the ring with the auction house in 2000.
The famous sparkler sold for $110,000 at the time, and Maples donated a portion of the proceeds to charity, according to the NationalJeweler.com website.
Now, DuMouchelle expects it to go for around $300,000.
Trump’s political celebrity may increase the value of the ring, but its main appeal is its quality and famous designer.
The current owner is “at a certain point in life where she’s enjoyed it, but she’s ready to sell it,” DuMouchelle told the TV station.
Maples was the second of Trump’s three wives. His 14-year marriage to Ivana Zelníčková ended in 1991, the same year he proposed to Maples. He married his current wife, Melania Knauss, in 2005.
The upcoming auction features pieces by other legendary jewelers, including Verdura, Cartier, David Webb and Tiffany & Co.
The auction will be held in New York City, but interested local buyers may preview the collection Friday and Saturday at the corporate headquarters of the business at 251 E. Merrill St., Suite 236.
