Ye Olde Saloon Celebrates 40 Years Tonight

Enjoy friends, fun and forty years of Ye Olde Saloon

A special pale ale complete with a custom label by a professional artist is helping to mark the 40th birthday of Ye Olde Saloon in Royal Oak. Local artist Tony Roko created the beer label.

The party on Saturday includes live music, a cook-out and drinks from 2 p.m. to 2 a.m.

Saturday’s events include music from James Wailin and Bobby East from the Reefermen doing a duo acoustic set, and more. The cover is $5, with proceeds benefiting the Royal Oak Optimist Club.

The anniversary beer will be sold in keg outside and bottles inside. Sears said the party store across the street will be selling bottles for people to take home. T-shirts including the special label also are to be available for sale at the saloon.
