2 Infants Sleeping with Adults Die in Separate Incidents
The Oakland County Sheriff's office responded to two infant deaths, two hours apart, early Saturday morning.

Two Oakland County infants died Saturday in separate incidents after sleeping in the same bed as adult relatives, the sheriff’s department said Monday.
Emergency crews were called to an address in the 40 block of Firelite Lane in Pontiac just after 2 a.m. Saturday after receiving a 911 call about a 3-month-old who was not breathing. The infant was sleeping on the couch with an aunt, who awakened to find the infant’s lips had turned blue and he was not breathing, according to a news release.

The sheriff’s office said the boy was being cared for by his grandmother, and was sleeping in the same bed with her and another grandchild, 6.
Attempts to revive him were unsuccessful as well, and he was pronounced dead at McLaren Hospital.
Both deaths remain under investigation, and autopsies will be conducted in both cases.
