6 Credit Card Accounts Opened with Stolen Identity
Police also took a report from a resident whose identity was used to open a Comcast account in Detroit.
BLOOMFIELD TOWNSHIP, MI – A Bloomfield Township resident reported to police that his Social Security number and personal information, compromised in an August 2015 security breach, was recently used to open five credit cards.

The victim made the report on Jan. 14. Also on that day, Bloomfield Township police took another identity theft report.

The victim contacted the collection agency and learned that her name was used to open a Comcast account at an address in the 16000 block of Winthrop in Detroit.
Both cases have been referred to the police department’s Investigations Division for followup.
