Apartment Manager Accused of Stealing Tenants’ Rent Money

BLOOMFIELD TOWNSHIP, MI — The manager of a Bloomfield Township apartment complex is accused of embezzling several thousands of dollars from tenants’ rent payments over the past four years, police said.

Officials with Whethersfield Apartments came to the Bloomfield Township Police Department on Nov. 19, 2015, with their suspicions that the manager was stealing rent money and transferring it into her own bank account

After months’ of investigation, obtained a larceny warrant against Deanna Bruzos, 36, of Livonia, who was arraigned in 48th District Court on Aug. 22. Judge Diane D’Agostini gave Bruzos a $5,000 personal bond and ordered her to appear again in court on Sept. 6.
