Bicycle Rarely Seen in Michigan Stolen in Bloomfield Township

The bicycle was seen at a West Bloomfield township apartment. If you've seen it, police want to hear from you.

BLOOMFIELD TOWNSHIP, MI — A BMC Roadmaster racing bike believed to be only one of three or four of its kind in Michigan was stolen from a Bloomfield Township bike shop while it was in the shop for repairs.

The red, black and white bike was stolen sometime between July 21-22 from Performance Bike, 2067 Telegraph Road, the Bloomfield Township Police Department said in a news release.

A witness told police that it was seen at an apartment complex on Woodrow Wilson Boulevard in West Bloomfield Township, but police have not been able to locate it.

Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying the bike, as well as the person in the photo. Anyone with information is asked to call Bloomfield Township police Detective John Huizdos Jr. at (248) 433-7763.
