Attorneys volunteered their time to facilitate discussions with groups of students. The program ended with a quiz bowl and “call to action.” The students were encouraged to learn about the Constitution and know their rights as citizens.
The office of state Rep. Klint Kesto, R-Commerce Township, provided pocket Constitutions for the students. The event was modeled after Judge Michael Warren’s Circuit Court program that is geared toward high school students.
