Bloomfield Township Police Bust Underage Drinking Party

Surveillance video shows suspects in retail fraud at Skier's Peak and theft of cell phone from Tim Hortons customer. Do you know them?

Bloomfield Township said they busted a large party in the 5000 block of Adams about 11:30 p.m. on Halloween night after getting an anonymous tip about underage drinking.

Several underage students who had consumed alcohol were in the driveway of the residence when police arrived. All together, the investigation revealed that 28 partygoers, ranging in age from 15-20, had been drinking.

The matter has been turned over to juvenile investigators for more investigation.

Fraudulent Check

Bloomfield Township police arrested a 29-year-old Waterford resident Monday after she allegedly forged an account holder’s signature and attempted to cash a check at Flagstar Bank.

The teller became suspicious when she compared the signature on the check with the account holder’s signature on file and discovered they didn’t match, police said in a report.

The teller called the account holder, who confirmed the check was fraudulent.

Nicole Ann Wirick was arraigned on charges of uttering and publishing in 48th District Court before Judge Marc Barron, who set bond at $5,000.

Retail Fraud and Theft

Police were called to Skier’s Peak, 6565 Telegraph, on Oct. 27, to investigate the theft of a Canada Goose-brand vest and jacket worth more than $800 from the store at 4:40 p.m. on Oct. 22.

On Oct. 31, police were called to Tim Hortons, 40 Square Lake, to investigate the theft of an iPhone. The victim said that between 9-9:20 a.m. on Oct. 30, she put her cell phone on the counter. Surveillance video showed the suspect put the phone in his pocket, police said.
