Bloomfield Township's landmark restaurant recently closed with little fan fare.

Part of the Big Boy restaurant chain that started in Warren in 1936 and became an American classic, it served the greater Bloomfield residential and business communities for decades with a variety of American food, burgers, salads, sandwiches and desserts.
