Feature Photos: James Beard Celebrity Chefs At Bloomfield Open Hunt

Despite heavy snow and frigid temperatures, more than 100 Bloomfield-area residents sampled the fine cuisine of some of the best chefs in the country during the recent James Beard Celebrity Chef Tour stop in Bloomfield Hills. 

The chefs and staff at the Bloomfield Open Hunt Club served 112 guests as part of the sold-out gathering on Jan. 27 that highlighted a mix of the best locally-and-nationally renowned culintary artists, said Catering Director Sue Helzer.
Among the highlighted chefs were: Jonathon Sawyer, Aaron Butts, Jeremy Ashby, Drew Sayes, Matt Danko, Tom Sheridan and host Chef Kevin Peasgood.

"There was a great vibe in the air and everyone was very excited to sample all the chef’s cuisine," Helzer said.

Highlights included five passed appetizers created by each celebrity chef, and dishes and wine glasses furnished by Jon Gerych of Birmingham.
