Former U-M Football Player Sentenced for Sex Video

Logan Tuley-Tillman, a four-star recruit from Illinois, was kicked off the Wolverines football team after female student's police report.

ANN ARBOR, MI – A four-star recruit from Peoria, IL, kicked off the University of Michigan football team last fall after allegations surfaced that he videotaped a consensual sex act without his partner’s permission was sentenced to probation Monday in a Washtenaw County courtroom.

Logan Tuley-Tillman, 20, was sentenced to two years probation after he pleaded guilty to illegally capturing/distributing an image of an unclothed person and to committing a crime with a computer, the Detroit Free Press reports.

A third charge of capturing/distributing van image of an unclothed person was dropped in the plea deal, which provided for his sentencing under the Holmes Youthful Training Act. The youthful offender act gives defendants ages 17-2 a chance to have their records expunged.

Tuley-Tillman’s attorney, David Nacht, told the Free Press that his client didn’t receive preferential treatment because he is an athlete.

“I’ve represented a number of young men who are University of Michigan students who have faced these kind of issues," Nacht told the Free Press. "The court and prosecutor treated this as they have (others). Neither preferential nor harsh because he was an athlete. He was treated like others."

After the allegations against 6-foot-7, 310-pound offensive lineman surfaced, Wolverines Coach Jim Harbaugh booted him from the football team “for conduct unacceptable for a Michigan student-athlete.”

At the time, Tuley-Tillman said he was too drunk to remember what had happened the night of Sept. 3 after he and a 19-year-old U-M student met up following the Wolverines’ season opener against Utah.

The two reportedly had consensual sex, but the woman filed a complaint with the university’s Sexual Assault Prevention and Awareness Center on Sept.7 after discovering two short videos of them engaged in a sex act had been texted from her phone to Tuley-Tillman’s.

The videos had been removed from her phone, but because her phone and laptop computer automatically synced, she discovered them on her computer.

According to the police report, the woman said “she hadn’t consented to Logan filming her.”

The report described a three-second video with nothing but muffled sounds, and a 15-second video that “clearly showed the suspect having sex with her.”
