Ex-Wolverine Too Drunk to Remember Taping Sex Act: Report
In a police interview, four-star recruit Logan Tuley-Tillman said he felt like a "complete idiot" for filming the encounter.
A former University of Michigan football player who was kicked off the team last month after he was charged with three felonies for allegedly filming a sexual encounter with a woman says he was too drunk to remember whether he committed the offenses.
Logan Tuley-Tillman, 20, a 6-foot-7, 310-pound offensive lineman, was dismissed from the football program on Sept. 10, five days after the alleged incident, which he has told Ann Arbor police he doesn’t remember, the Detroit Free Press reports.

Tuley-Tillman also told police “he believed he had a significant drinking problem and wished to address it immediately,” according to a police report obtained by the Free Press under a public records request.
Tuley-Tillman, a four-star recruit from Peoria, IL, and redshirt sophomore, is charged with two counts of capturing/disturbing an image and one count of using a computer to commit a crime in connection with the off-campus incident at 1:05 a.m. on Sept. 5.

In a statement, Michigan Coach Jim Harbaugh said “Tuley-Tillman has been dismissed from the football team for conduct unacceptable for a Michigan student-athlete.”
The alleged victim is a 19-year-old U-M student who filed a complaint with the university’s Sexual Assault Prevention and Awareness Center on Sept.7 after discovering the two short videos. Because the alleged incident occurred off-campus, Ann Arbor police, rather than university police, have jurisdiction.
According to the police report, the 4-foot, 11-inch, 130 pound woman said that when Tuley-Tillman arrived about at her apartment at 11:35 p.m., as they had arranged earlier in the day, she had consumed five shots of alcohol and one mixed drink since about 3 p.m. Tuley-Tillman was drunk when he arrived, the woman said.
The two had consensual sex that night, the woman told police. Later, as she was reviewing her phone, she found two videos had been texted from her phone to Tuley-Tillman’s. The videos had been removed from her phone, but because her phone and laptop computer were automatically synced, she discovered them on her computer.
According to the police report, the woman said “she hadn’t consented to Logan filming her.” The report described a three-second video with nothing but muffled sounds, and a 15-second video that “clearly showed the suspect having sex with her.”
When Ann Arbor police questioned Tuley-Tillman on Sept. 9, he said he had consumed a large bottle of cognac by himself and didn’t recall filming the encounter. But when he viewed the video, he admitted his involvement and “apologized to us and said he felt like a ‘complete idiot’ for taking the video of her,” according to the report.
The videos were not on Tuley-Tillman’s phone when police searched it, and he told detectives he “would never have distributed it (to) any other members of the football team.” But he said he couldn’t remember if he had he had sent it to anyone outside of the football team.
Tuley-Tillman was one of the most sought-after recruits in 2013, and gained notoriety when a posted a picture on Twitter showing him burning a recruiting letter from Ohio State, The Detroit News said. He turned down offers from USC, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Wisconsin, Florida State and other top programs to play for the Wolverines.
Tuley-Tillman’s probable cause hearing is Nov. 5, and his preliminary exam is scheduled for Nov. 12.
