Hillside Furniture's Jeff Selik Among DBusiness' '30 in Their 30's'

Hillside Furniture President Jeff Selik continued an impressive year of publicly-driven accolades this week when he was named among DBusiness' '30 in Their Thirties' for 2012.

The comprehensive list of local entrepreneurs and business professionals were nominated by readers for not only being successful, but because they are 'advancing their companies, industries and communities,' the magazine wrote. Selik, 38, took over day-to-day operations from his CEO father a few years ago, and is an expert on contemporary furniture. However, he keeps a keen eye on the future. DBusiness mentioned his efforts to build a modern-day audience and customer base by maximizing social media and equipping staff with iPads.

Earlier this year, Hour Detroit readers voted Hillside "Best Furniture Store" for 2012, and the store also earned the most nominations and votes to win Bloomfield Patch's Readers' Choice for offering the best interior decor.
