Kids Who Refused Lunch with Dad Now Living With Him

The children underwent intensive parental alienation therapy ordered by the court.

The three Bloomfield Hills children caught in a bitter custody dispute and once sent to detention for refusing to have lunch with their estranged father have been living with him since Aug. 13, according to Oakland County Court records.

The Detroit Free Press reports that the children, ages 9, 11 and 14, are living with their father, Omer Tsimhoni, his second wife, and their half brother. The reunion took place after the children completed an intensive five-day treatment for parental alienation ordered by the court.

Tsimhoni and his ex-wife,, Maya Eibschitz-Tsimhoni, were to have appeared in court Wednesday morning, but the hearing was adjourned for reasons that aren’t clear. He wants Oakland County Circuit Court Judge Lisa Gorcyca to prohibit the children’s mother from having any contact with the children, which is part of parental alienation treatment.

While proponents of the treatment say it’s effective in resolving contentious custody disputes, opponents say it may leave children vulnerable if parents are abusive. Eibschitz-Tsimhoni has claimed that the children’s father is abusive.
