Man Suspected in Abduction Attempts Turns Himself In
Bloomfield Township police said more information will be released as the investigation continues.

BLOOMFIELD TOWNSHIP, MI – A 49-year-old Pontiac man turned himself in to authorities about 9:30 p.m. Friday after the Bloomfield Township Police Department released video footage of a suspect in several attempted abductions.
Police said more information will be released as the investigation progresses.

Earlier, police said the suspect allegedly tried to abduct four women after approaching them with offers for money within a 45-minute period Thursday.

At 1:30 pm., the suspect allegedly approached and offered money to a female parked near Rite Aid and sitting in her vehicle. No physical contact was made.
At 1:32 p.m., a second female was allegedly approached while inside a store and offered money. No physical contact was made in that instance, either.
At 1:37 p.m., the suspect allegedly approached a woman inside her vehicle and tried to pull her out.
At 1:45 p.m., the suspect allegedly approached a female inside QDOBA. There was no physical contact, police said.
One of the women said she was parking her vehicle in the parking lot of the strip mall when a black male in his 40s or 50s offered her $100,000 and then attempted to pull her out of her vehicle. She fought him off, and she told police she saw him get into a red panel van without license plates.
