Operation Medicine Cabinet Comes to Bloomfield Hills

Unused and outdated prescription drugs will be accepted around the clock by the Bloomfield Hills Public Safety Department.

The newest location in the countywide Operation Medicine Cabinet prescription drug collection program is in Bloomfield Hills.

Prescription drug collection services will be available at the Bloomfield Hills Public Safety building, 45 East Long Lake Road, around the clock. The public safety department is partnering with the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office in the program, which is aimed at curbing illegal use of prescription drugs.

A ribbon cutting ceremony formally announcing Operation Medicine Cabinet’s 24th location in Oakland County will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 18, at the police department.

Oakland County Sheriff Michael Bouchard, Bloomfield Hills Police Chief David Hendrickson and other local officials will be on hand to discuss the program.
