Firm presents donation to foundation (legalnews.com) — A Bloomfield Hills law firm, Fink Bressack, has directed $185,000 in cy pres settlement funds to the Federal Bar Foundation of Detroit, bringing its total support to more than $500,000. The money will back justice-focused and law-related programs across metro Detroit, reflecting a significant philanthropic role for a Bloomfield Hills-based practice.
   

3. Charges reissued for 2024 home invasion (candgnews.com) — Residents near Bloomfield Hills may notice renewed court activity after prosecutors reissued charges against a 34-year-old man in a 2024 Bloomfield Township home invasion and police chase. The suspect, previously arrested and released when a key witness went on medical leave, was taken into custody again Sept. 23 and is being held on a $750,000 bond.
   

4. Cranbrook wins D2 regional at Pine Knob; OLSM and Marian also qualify for state tournament (theoaklandpress.com) — Bloomfield Hills Cranbrook-Kingswood's girls golf team dominated the Division 2 regional at Pine Knob, sweeping the top four individual spots and winning by 49 strokes to advance to states. Orchard Lake St. Mary's and Marian also qualified, while several Oakland County golfers earned individual state berths, setting up a strong local showing at Forest Akers West next weekend.
