Pedestrian Killed in Bloomfield Hills

(Originally published Oct. 17, 2016) BLOOMFIELD HILLS, MI – A 24-year-old Bloomfield Hills man died after being hit while crossing Woodward Avenue in Bloomfield Township Sunday night.

The crash occurred at about 9:27 p.m. Sunday, according to The Detroit News. Hours later, early police reports say that the man was killed by a vehicle driven by a 65-year-old Bloomfield Hills man who was traveling northbound on Woodward.

Early indications are that speed and alcohol were not a factor in the crash, according to a statement from Bloomfield Township Police Sgt. Kim Comerford of the traffic investigations unit. Police are asking that anyone with further information on the crash call the traffic investigations unit at 248-433-7749.
