In the letter, administrators said they expected a normal school day Friday, but would remain vigilant throughout the day and be on the lookout for suspicious activity.
“Please remind your children to be cautious and aware of their surroundings when walking to and from school,” the district said. “It is important to teach ‘stranger danger’ without creating unnecessary panic in a young child. Remind your child that there is safety in numbers and to always tell an adult if they observe anything that makes them uneasy.”
