Rear Ends Boutique Adds Bloomfield Hills Store
Elaine and Mark Blumenfeld opened their first high-end denim boutique in West Bloomfield in 1978.

BLOOMFIELD HILLS, MI – Women in the Bloomfield Hills area have a new option when they’re looking for premium denim brands — Rear Ends, which opened a second store in Bloomfield Hills at 6606 Telegraph Road last fall.
Elaine and Mark Blumenfeld opened the original Rear Ends shop in the Boardwalk shopping center on Orchard Lake Road in West Bloomfield Township in 1978. Their daughter, Ariana Carps, is now a co-owner, buyer and manager of the family business.

“Our goal in adding this second location is to encourage people to continue to shop locally-owned, small businesses,” Carps said. “At Rear Ends, we make an effort to know everyone that walks through our doors and to provide them with unmatched customer service and a personalized and interactive shopping experience…you can’t get that at Amazon.com.”
Merchandise is more tightly cultivated at the 1,900-square foot Bloomfield Hills boutique, but brands customers expect will still be carried. High-end exclusives include jackets select leather pieces. The boutique also carries sweaters and t-shirts, casual pants and dresses.
