Moving heavy earth-moving and other large contractor equipment also affected by Road Commission for Oakland County order.

Most Oakland County road construction projects will idle at 3 p.m. Friday for the Memorial Day Weekend holiday and won’ resume about until after 6 a.m. Tuesday, May 26.
Road Commission for Oakland County (RCOC) Managing Director Dennis Kolar said keeping the roads as free of obstruction as possible makes them safer during increased holiday traffic.
Kolar also prohibited the hauling of most heavy earth-moving equipment and other large contractor equipment on county roads (vehicles that require a permit to travel on county roads) during the holiday.
