Visions for Vacancies: What Belongs at This Former Restaurant Site?

If it were up to you, what would you like to see move into this spot?

 

This restaurant location along southbound Telegraph Road near Square Lake Road in Bloomfield Township had been a neighborhood staple for decades, first as a Mountain Jack's Steakhouse, and then as a Rio Bravo.

But the Tex-Mex chain based in California closed all nine of its Michigan locations in 2003. The building has been vacant since, though property owner Milt Sloban has some bright ideas for making the location along one of Bloomfield's major commercial corridors vibrant again.

"As someone who spent more than 40 years in the drug store business, I think it would make a great location for a Walgreens or a ," said Sloban from his Florida home. "The closest place to get prescriptions around there is Costco, or they have to go to Woodward."
