The schools released the music video on YouTube to help students, parents and others understand what goes into declaring a snow day.

The lyrics to the song are set to the music of “The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air” theme song. Teachers at the district’s various buildings explain the factors that go into making the decision.
“This video is hysterical,” Ilyse Goldman Aaron posted. “I love it.”
“Great way to announce!” Lisa Muglia Kucinski wrote, adding Bloomfield Hills is the “best district ever.”
“This is a very creative way to announce a snow day,”added Jean Ross-McClary Ramseyer.
Others called the video “awesome” and “fun.”
Joyce LaHaye thought the video was “really cute,” but offered a suggestion that a future iteration include American Sign Language.
