• Michigan averages 15 tornadoes a year. We've already had 12 and it's only April (mlive.com) — A weak EF-0 tornado with 80 mph winds was confirmed in Bridgeport this week as part of a larger outbreak that spawned eight twisters across Michigan. While damage was mostly limited to trees, vehicles, buildings, and farm structures elsewhere, no injuries were reported. Meteorologists say this early-season activity may reflect a shifting tornado pattern linked to a warming climate.
