Local shops are reimagined as Gilmore Girls landmarks, with free entry to festival grounds and paid options for actor Q&As, coffee dates, and meet-and-greets that have already drawn tens of thousands in past years.
3. Green Oak roundabouts rank as most-dangerous intersection in county (thelivingstonpost.com) — Several Brighton intersections rank among Livingston County's most crash-prone, including Grand River at I-96, Challis at Cinema, and Grand River at Whitmore Lake Road. 4. 5. Beverly Ann Heruska (iredellfreenews.com) — A local connection to Brighton comes through Virginia Ann Young and her fiancé, Michael J. Saunders of Brighton, who are among the survivors of Beverly Ann Heruska, 79, of Statesville, North Carolina. Heruska, a devoted homemaker and community volunteer, died September 19, with services planned in Statesville on Sunday, September 27.
