The Community Theatre of Howell (CTH) is pleased to announce that 19-year-old Zachary Hines of Gregory has been awarded the 2014 Lanny F. Davis Memorial Scholarship. Hines says he acquired his love of performing after appearing in HONK! in 2003, his first CTH show. Through the years since, he has appeared in many productions including Alice in Wonderland, Mulan, School House Rock, The Wedding Singer, and The Little Mermaid. The $300 grant will allow Hines to continue his love of theater as he begins a course of study at the American Musical and Dramatic Academy.
CTH presents scholarships up to $300 to graduating seniors who intend to pursue a major in a 2-year or 4-year performing arts (acting, directing, design, technical, dance, vocal, instrumental performance, teacher of the performing arts, video/film production, or management) curriculum.
