MOD PIZZA IN BRIGHTON RAISES MORE THAN $7,390 DURING GRAND OPENING PAY WHAT YOU WANT FUNDRAISER EVENT

Proceeds to benefit Brighton Area Schools

As part of the latest restaurant concept unveiled by TEAM Schostak Family Restaurants (TSFR), a Michigan-based family-owned restaurant group with an expansive portfolio of casual, quick service and family dining restaurants throughout the state, MOD Pizza in Brighton announced today that it raised $7,392 during its grand opening “Pay What You Want” event to benefit the Bulldog Boutique organization. TSFR Brand Leader of MOD Pizza Jake Schostak made the announcement.

In celebration of the brand’s rapid expansion in Michigan and the grand opening of its fifth MOD Pizza, located at 8605 W. Grand River, TSFR and MOD Pizza hosted the all day “Pay What You Want” fundraiser on Monday, December 22. During the event, guests were able to pay any amount of their choosing for their meal, with all proceeds benefiting the Bulldog Boutique organization, which helps provide classroom grants and offers assistance to students in need throughout the community.

“As a family-owned company, connecting with the people in the communities we serve is important as we continue to expand this unique and fun experience throughout Michigan,” said Schostak. “We gauge our success by the number of lives that we impact, and partnering with an organization that plays such a huge role in augmenting the well-being of the residents of Brighton has made for a truly successful opening.”

Based in Seattle, MOD’s individual artisan-style pizzas are made on demand, using fresh-pressed dough and signature sauces, including MOD red sauce and MOD white sauce. As the company that launched the fast-casual pizza niche, guests can create their own pizzas and salads, using any combination of more than 30 fresh-featured toppings, or they can choose from a menu of MOD classics. Each pizza is hand-cooked in an 800 degree oven in five minutes or less and salads are hand-tossed in front of the guest. MOD also serves local draft beers, wine, handspun milkshakes, and house-made lemonades and iced teas.

In 2014, TSFR announced plans to bring 25 MOD Pizza restaurants to Michigan during the next five years. Since June, TSFR has opened five locations and created more than 150 jobs for local resident. For more information on MOD Pizza, visit www.teamschostak.com.
